Founder & Station Manager: Manqoba Msizi Mavundla

A Visionary Leader in South African Culture, Media, and Business
Msizi Mavundla, a trailblazer in South Africa’s cultural, creative, and media sectors, has had a profound impact on African culture, youth development, and community unity over his two-decade career. As the Founder and Executive Director of the Sounds of Azania Cultural & Creative Incubator, he promotes African arts, music, and culture, providing a platform for artists to flourish and fostering social cohesion. Through initiatives like Rappers Without Borders, which empowers youth and promotes social responsibility, and as Vice Chairperson of the Old School Music Executives, he continues to nurture musical talent and preserve South Africa’s musical heritage. As the Owner of Funkytigers Entertainment, KwaZulu-Natal’s first record label, he has collaborated with various artists and organizations to support local talent and launch the careers of budding musicians.
Msizi is also involved in the entrepreneurial world, co-founding Fanivirus Online Stores and serving as a director, Retail Manager at Phandapreneurs, and Creative Director at Hundred Aikas Sportswear. His passion for publishing led to the establishment of Urban Sounds Magazine, Mzansi Mail Newspaper, and the African Pupils Voice Newspaper, aiming to address the needs of musicians and promote independent media voices. In broadcasting, he manages different radio stations, founded a television network, and produces various events celebrating African culture and entrepreneurship.
With a rich background in leadership roles at prominent companies, Msizi has honed his talent nurturing and promoting African excellence. As an acclaimed author, he has penned several books uplifting African narratives and inspiring aspiring entrepreneurs and creatives. Additionally, his acting career includes appearances on popular TV shows and commercials, showcasing his diverse talents. Currently, as the Editorial Director for Mzansi Mail Newspaper, a Presenter & TV Producer on Gud TV Africa, and a Creator for Durban Voice Radio, his contributions to South Africa’s creative and media industries solidify his position as a visionary and leader in the field, leaving a lasting impact on the industry.
Managing Editor: Jennifer Mdluli

Jennifer Mdluli is a versatile individual, working as an editor, writer, radio host, TV producer, and youth developer. She is deeply passionate about telling stories and empowering young people. Jennifer hosts the #KeepHumble Breakfast show, where she discusses various topics ranging from current events to personal growth. She also hosts The Soul of Africa Thursday edition #Sifun’Umsebenzi, Career Pathways and Jenny Love Show addressing employment and youth empowerment, featuring the organization Activate Change Drivers. As a writer, Jennifer contributes to various platforms, covering social issues, lifestyle, and entertainment news. Her work challenges traditional thinking and encourages discussions on societal change.
In her role as a TV producer, Jennifer has worked on the Phenomenal Rise Show and GUDTV Africa, providing inspiration and learning opportunities. As a youth developer, she has facilitated numerous projects to empower young people. Jennifer is part of Activate Change Drivers, a network of over 4000 youth, and has started the African Youth Hub (African Youth Radio) to guide the youth of Africa in making smart life decisions and discovering their purpose.
Jennifer’s personal philosophy focuses on the power of storytelling to empower and inspire, promoting inclusivity and challenging societal norms. She aims to create content that resonates with her audience, leaving a lasting impact on their perspectives. Her ultimate goal is to tell African stories in an authentic way. Jennifer believes in adapting plans rather than changing goals and finds motivation in witnessing young people succeed in their passions.
Moving forward, Jennifer is working on new radio shows, articles, TV productions, and youth development initiatives to inspire more individuals through her work. Whether she is on air, writing, or engaging in community efforts, Jennifer remains committed to empowering and uplifting others. Her dedication to youth development, gymnastics coaching, and media work reflects her ongoing journey towards making a meaningful impact and fostering connections through storytelling and advocacy.
